Flavour, Odumeje Thrill Awka Fun Seekers
Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as flavour on Tuesday night thrilled fun seekers to
scintillating tunes from his varieties of genres at the Awka Fun City
The excited audience was thrown into a frenzy with live performance of ‘Golibe’, ‘To be A Man’, ‘Ijele Aputago’ “Ogene’ ‘Burning Fire’ with Odumeje and other enthralling tunes by the Umunze born afro highlife song star.
Flavour in a short message advised youths to pursue money in a genuine way so they could enjoy it for a long time .
He said journey to stardom, fame and riches needed consistency and hard work adding that he started small and was able to attain his current status by dint of resilience and God’s grace
Flavour was accompanied in the very by his friend, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere aka Odumeje and other artists including Slow Dog.
“If you do it the short way, you will have so much pressure, leave please and pursue fortune because at the end everything will fall in place,” he said.
In his remark, Gov. Chukwuma Soludo who was also entertained alongside his wife Dr Nonye and some of his cabinet members said Awka had become a new hub for entertainment.
Soludo said the Awka Fun City was getting an average of 7,000 visitors everyday since the Onwa D’Zemba programme was inaugurated mid December which was second none like it anywhere around Anambra.
Soludo said his administration would sign a partnership deal with Flavour N’Abania to keep having him and other artists on a regular basis.
According to him, I am thrilled, entertainment has come to stay in Awka
“Onwa D’Zemba ceremonies have come to stay, I want to tell you that you have not seen anything yet,” he said.
Don Onyenji, Communities for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism said Christmas celebration in Anambra was at its best in Awka this year.
Onyenji said Anambra government was in contact with most of the celebrated artists from the state and would continue to welcome them and celebrate with flavour, Ijele of Africa as a starting point.
He said the event was a learning process with some observed organisational lapses and promised that it would get better in subsequent editions while commending Gov. Soludo for his visionary leadership.
