Four corps members incur three months service extension in Anambra
Four members of 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members who served in Anambra have had their service year extended three months just as 3,704 successfully completed the national duty.
The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) commenced the distribution of discharge certificates to the successful candidates on Thursday.
Mr Kehinde Aremu, the Coordinator of told newsmen that he was satisfied with the level of adherence to Covid-19 safety protocols during the exercise.
Aremu congratulated the corps members for their meritorious service time the country and Anambra in particular and expressed optimism that with the kind of training and orientation they got, they would excel wherever they found themselves.
According to him, our target from the onset is that if we put the entire corps members in the country together, those from Anambra will distinguish themselves in terms of excellence, knowledge and comportment.
He said enough manpower had been deployed carryout the distribution which would hold at the various local government secretariats
Aremu said those who wished to travel out of the state were at liberty to make such trips as the Director General of the scheme, Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim had secured permission from the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to that effect.
“We have staggered the distribution of the certificates, days were allocated to each of the corps members across the local governments depending on the numerical strength in each area,” he said.
