Guber: No Plan To Arrest Any Anambra Government Official… Police
The Nigerian Police has dismissed allegations that it had plans to arrest some Anambra State government officials with the intention of weakening the chsbchss of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Nov. election.

Mr CDon Adinuba, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment in Anambra had in a Statement issued on Thursday said some politicians had planned to arrest the state officials to enable them hijack the election.
According to him, none of the heads of national security agencies is aware of this plot.
“The desperate politicians want to use certain compromised operatives working without the knowledge, let alone the support, of the national heads of the security agencies to perpetrate this act,” he stated.
But the Police boss said ” it is fake news, there nothing like that.
On the election, the Police said it willl be neutral in carrying out its duty in Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra.
Ahmed said Police shall provide enabling environment for all parties and electorate to freely go out and take part in the election without fear.
He also assured that observers and media on election duty would be given adequate security.
The Police boss said the Police was ready with security commands in all the 21 Local Government Area and intervention squads to respond to emergencies anywhere in the state.
He said there would be total lockdown of Anambra from 11.59 on Friday to 11:59 on Saturday.
“I call on the media and observers to collaborate with the Police to work for a peaceful election in Anambra,” he said.
