I Will Protect Igbo Interest If Elected President in 2023
The Presidential aspirant for the 2023 presidential election, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, has stated that he will fight for the interest of Igbos to ensure they receive all their rights and privileges.
Ohuabunwa disclosed this when he met with the students wings of the Igbos For Progressive And United Nationhood (IPAN) in Awka.
The meeting was an interactive discussion centered on the South East presidency and how to promote a peaceful and united Nigeria.
Ohuabunwa said he would ensure unity of the entire Southeast and attract lofty projects that enhance development.
“I’m well delighted to be honoured by IPAN, a golden voice of Igbos for united nationhood. I’m also happy that IPAN shares the same ideology with me. Our nation is divided because of injustice to virtually every section of the country at one time or the other by misguided leadership.
We believe this country can be fully united by a leadership that allows justice, equity and fair play to reign and I strongly believe that with our collective efforts we will definitely achieve it,” he said.
Ohuabunwa, specially thanked the IPAN Students Wing for finding him worthy of distinguished recognition and appreciation.
“I thanked the leadership of Igbos For Progressive And United Nationhood (IPAN) for the good works they are doing in Ala Igbo.
” I declared to run for presidency because of what IPAN is doing. The press statement released by IPAN during their last press conference made me believe that Igbos will support Igbo agenda.
“I seek the support of IPAN in general for the realization of Igbo presidency come 2023.”
The IPAN Students Wing President, Mr Okereke Nwafor,
thanked him for his hospitality and also told him that he will report back to IPAN national executives and inform them about his humble appeal.
When contacted, the National President of IPAN, Comrade Lawrence Onuzulike, said IPAN would not relent in projecting the affairs of Igbos.
“We’re happy that people like Kingsley Moghalu, Pius Anyim Pius, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa and others have started showing more seriousness towards realizing their dreams. IPAN will continue to monitor the situation and show support when needed,” Onuzulike said.
