I’m Disappointed IPOB/UK Protesting Peace In Igbo Land…APGA Chieftain
Mr Chinedu Obigwe, A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) says he is disappointed that some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) based in the United Kingdom were not happy that peace and security had been restored in Igbo land.

APGA Media Warriors Forum said this while reacting to the unfortunate confrontation of some people who claimed to be IPOB members with Gov. Chukwuma Soludo during his town hall meeting in London.
The town hall was organised by some indigenes of Anambra in diaspora for Soludo to brief them in his governance activities in the state in the past four years
The group had accused the governor of not making effort to secure the freedom of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from prison and also accused him of sponsoring the killings of youths in the area .
Obigwe blamed the needless drama on the ignorance of some of those misguided IPOB members whom he said were not abreast with what had been going on at home.
According to him, it is very regrettable that some fifth columnists and uninformed people chose to protest against the restoration of sanity, peace, peace, security and rule of law in Anambra.
“Most of these perceived agitators have not come home in the past 10 years for fear of being kidnapped or killed and their relatives have continued to advise them not to return home,” he said.
Obigwe said contrary to their claims, Soludo had been in the vanguard for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and granted amnesty appealed to criminal elements living in the forest.
Obigwe said Soludo also visited Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the DSS custody where he condemned the Monday sit at home order and the killings and kidnappings in Igbo land as unacceptable.
He said those who accepted the offer of amnesty by laying down their arms were reintegrated into the society while those who were in detention were granted bail.
He said given the level of lawlessness in the state Soludo launched Operation-Udo-Ga-Chi with the aim of stemming the tide of violence and insecurity.
“At the inception of Soludo’s administration he had appealed to criminal elements living in the forest to come out under his amnesty program and be rehabilitated.
“In spite of these honest and deliberate moves by the governor, those miscreants operating under the guise of IPOB persisted in holding eight local government areas of Anambra under siege.
“It is indeed clear that those who confronted Soludo at the Town Hall meeting are those sponsoring the killings, arson and insecurity in Anambra.
“They have actually lost their deposits in this bloody and deadly enterprise.
“For the first time in the past 10 years Anambra celebrated a mass return as cultural and other traditional functions were held with pop and pageantry.
“These fifth columnists are apparently the real enemies of Anambra and indeed Igbo given the fact that they are protesting against the peace and tranquility that our people are currently enjoying.
“We challenge them to come home in order to have a first hand and on the spot assessment of the peace in Igbo land rather than making very bogus and false claims,” he said.
