IPMAN Congratulates Mba On Supreme Court Victory
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has congratulated Mr Peter Mba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on hls victory at the Supreme Court on the appeal brought by Chijioke Edeoga, candidate of the Labour Party..
Mr Chinedu Anyaso, Chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States said this in a Statement while reacting to the apex court judgement on Friday.
Anyaso who described Mba as great ambassador of IPMAN and critical player in the downstream sector said they had always been confident of his victory at the poll and in court.
He said with the victory every distraction has been removed and the coast was now clear for him to deliver his campaign promises to the good people of Enugu State.
“It is with great excitement that we received the news of the victory of our Governor, Dr Peter Mba at the Supreme Court, though we expected the victory, we are happy because His Excellency can now settle down for the business of governance without distractions.
“IPMAN is proud of him and has supported from the onset as our great ambassador, we knew he has the capacity to provide the leadership Enugu State desires.
“So, we join the good people of Enugu to celebrate this collective victory, we want to assure His Excellency of our unalloyed and undivided support to ensure he succeeds,” it said.
The IPMAN Chairman commended Mba for the strides he had achieved within the six months he had been in office.
He said Enugu State people with the public water supply Mba had brought
the City as well as massive infrastructure development going on across the state.
He urged people from across political party divide to join hands with the governor to build the Enugu State of their dream.
Mba was declared winner of the March 18 governorship election in Enugu by the Independent National Electoral Commission with 160,895 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party (LP) , who scored 157,552 votes.
