IPMAN Congratulates Mba, Urges Him To Transform Downstream Sector in S/E
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has congratulated Mr Peter Mba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on his election as governor-elect of Enugu State.
Mba was declared winner after garnering 160,895 ahead of Labour Party’s Chijioke Edeoga who git 157,552 to come second.
Mr Chinedu Anyaso, Chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu State in his congratulatory message described Mba’s victory as hard fought and well deserved.
Recall that Mba is the Chairman, Managing Director of Pinnacle Oil PLC, one of Nigeria’s largest tank farm operators.
Anyaso said the victory was not just for the Petroleum marketers in Nigeria but Enugu zone in particular.
“It is with great excitement that we received the victory of one of our own, Mr Peter Mba, Pinnacle Oil this morning, i must say he worked for his election and he deserves his win
“He is experienced, he has what it takes to take Enugu States to a higher level, we, the marketers in the zone wish to congratulate him and promise to work with him for a better society,” he said.
Anyaso called on the governor-elect to use his vast experience and capacity in the Petroleum industry to address the challenges of the downstream sector in the zone.
He said the IPMAN Community would like Mba to work with other Southeast governors to revitalise the moribund Enugu Depot and establishment of tank farms to ease the problem of distribution of products.
“We pray for his success in Enugu State, we pray for his success in helping to transform the downstream sector and we congratulate the people of Enugu State just as we ask for their support,” he said.
