Man, 37 Kills Brother Over Foodstuff In Anambra Community
A suspect identified as Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, 37 has allegedly killed his elder brother one Mr Emmanuel Okafor aged 45 years in Adagbe Village, in Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra.
Kosisochukwu was arrested by operatives of Anambra Vigilance Group in collaboration with police personnel attached to Abagana Police Divisional Headquarters on Feb. 7

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra who confirmed the arrest on Saturday said the suspect had confessed to the crime.
Ikenga said Kosisochukwu engaged Emmanuel in a fight over a heated argument about using foodstuffs in the house.
“Kosisochukwu was said to have used a stick to pierce the deceased chest.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital and was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” he said.
Ikenga described the incident as disturbing and reiterated the importance for family members to address their misunderstandings amicably with engaging in domestic violence.
According to him, it also underscores the need to manage conflicts and emotions healthily and constructively to avoid irreparable consequences.
“The case has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka and shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigation,” he said.
