NAUTH Mgt Seeks More Partnership On Infrastructure
Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, Anambra State, has called on individuals and corporate bodies to partner the institution on the areas of infrastructure and equipment for improved medical service delivery.
Dr Joe Ugboaja, the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of NAUTH made the call while interacting with newsmen at the permanent site of the hospital.
Ugboaja Joe who heads the hospital committee on movement to the permanent site said that the responsibility of giving quality health care to the people cannot and should not be left for the government alone to shoulder.
The CMAC willing partners were free to visit the hospital’s permanent site for them to see progress being made there.
“We have said it times without number that our top priority is to make NAUTH one of the best five Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria, we are passionate about that but the truth is that we need helping hands to achieve this lofty objective.
“NAUTH will continue to appreciate those persons who has helped out one way or the other in the past and those who are still helping us at the moment.
“NAUTH is not moving into the permanent site just to fulfill all righteousness, the movement to the permanent site is a serious business which needs the support of all and sundry to thrive,” he said.
Dr Ugboaja who also heads the committee on Public Private Partnership said NAUTH was willing and ready to partner with all interested parties for the provision of the infrastructure needed to radically transform the hospital.
He added that the access road to the permanent site needs an urgent attention to enable patients to continue to access care at the new facility.
