NDE trains 30 Women On Wig Making, Decorative Painting In Anambra
National Directorate of Employment, (NDE), trained no fewer than 30 women on wig making, turban and decorative painting in Anambra.
Mrs. Chika Ufele, Coordinator of NDE in Anambra said the cardinal programmes of the Directorate were designed to create jobs among the unemployed persons through vocational skills acquisition, transient job placement, entrepreneurship training and most enterprise creation.
She said in all the programmes, special attention was given to women by designing peculiar schemes that would suit their home management and cottage activities for income generation.
“In the past, they have been trained on Cosmetology, Bead making, Hat making and Food processing and packaging.Today, another training session on how to make Wig, Turban and Decorative paint making is being organized for thirty Women in Anambra State as a way of empowering them to become self-employed,” she said.
Ufele further who said that the training ran for a period of five days and encouraged the women trainees to persevere and complete the training for their future interest.

had emerged as the potent economic force in the face of mass unemployment and governments recognised the large number of women in the country’s population as a potential source of national development.
Ufele thanked the Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo for his fatherly role in making the programme possible.
She expressed hope that the beneficiaries will reciprocate the gesture by being punctual all throughout the training and make judicious use of the fund that would be given to them to better their life and that of their families.
