Nnaochie Foods Gets Commendation For Promoting Igbo Cuisines
Nnnaochie Foods, a leading eatery in Awka Anambra has promised to continue to introduce local dishes that are going extinct.
Mazi Ndubuisi Eze, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Nnaochie Foods, made the promise while interacting with some delegates who were in Anambra for a government engagement.
The expatriates who visited the eatery to give themselves a treat with good Igbo cuisines guests to Dr Foster Ifejiofor, the Commissioner for Agriculture.
Ndubuisi in his usual manner of making his customers feel comfortable while enjoying their meals, told the August visitors that his motivation for establishing the outfit was to ensure that rich Igbo delicacies were resurrected and presented to the world .
“There are several local delicacies that have been abandoned for canned and GMO foods which are most times putting people at health risk.
Eze who also operates the Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, said foods like Ede, Ona ,Achicha, fiofio, Anyu, Igbakwu, Ngu among others had been neglected by the younger generation due to exposures western foods not minding their health benefits.
He explained that all the local foods were being sourced for and provided by dedicated chefs who understand how to prepare and package them to nourish the body.
Ifejiofor who said Nnaochie delicacies had made him visit severally, assured that the state will continue to partner with people who key into the Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s healthy living agenda of his wife, Nonye.
The Foreign delegates who commended Eze for making efforts to revive local foods which would in turn encourage farming and agriculture in
the state.
