NSF 2025: Anambra Finishes 20th On Medals Table With Two Gold
Team Anambra has ended the quest for medals at the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF) finishing 20th on the final medals table with a total of 18 medals.
The medals include two gold, six silver and 10 bronze.
Anambra went to the festival with a contingent of 100 athletes and 50 officials and participated in 18 sporting events.
Recall Anambra won a total of 39 medals at the last festival in Asaba, Delta, with six gold, nine silver and 24 bronze.
Sunday Otoba opened the gold rush for Anambra in Wushu Kungfu while Onyinye Judith won the second gold medal in women’s 80 kg boxing.
According to the table Defending champions, Delta, is currently leading on the medals table with 126 gold, 100 silver and 111 bronze while Ogun were second with 92 gold, 65 silver and 80 bronze.
Bayelsa are third with 92 gold, 65 silver and 71 bronze while Rivers and Edo states are fourth and fifth with 76 and 73 gold, 56 and 101 silver and 63 and 119 bronze respectively
The festival officially ended on May 30.
