Nwosu, ADC Guber Candidate Hails Nigeria-U.S. Security Synergy
Mr John-Chuma Nwosu, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2025 governorship election in Anambra has commended the security partnership between Nigeria and the United States.
Nwosu in a Statement made available on Wednesday described the synergy as a timely step toward strengthening the country’s counter-terrorism capacity.
The Tech Expert said the recent announcement by the Defence Headquarters which confirmed the arrival of fewer than US military personnel and associated equipment in Nigeria was a welcome development as the country continued to find solutions to its security challenges.

Uba added that all activities would be conducted under the authority and control of the Nigerian Government and in close coordination with the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The DHQ said the engagement will involve joint training exercises and intelligence-focused cooperation initiatives aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of Nigerian troops to identify and neutralise extremist and terrorist groups.
Nwosu in his reaction said the partnership underscored the growing importance of technology-driven security architecture in modern warfare.
He said that in the contemporary security environment, technological innovation played a crucial role in intelligence gathering, surveillance, and operational efficiency.
“Any nation that neglects this reality places its citizens at risk,” he said.
The former governorship candidate applauded the international collaboration between the Federal and State Governments towards addressing insecurity.
He said beyond foreign partnerships, Nigeria needed comprehensive structural reforms, improved intelligence coordination, enhanced accountability, and sustained investment in modern equipment and personnel training.

“I call on authorities at all levels to adopt more decisive and measurable strategies to restore public confidence in the nation’s secu
rity framework,” he said.
