“True independence means equity in employment, fairness in representation, and justice in governance.
“As a nation that is vastly polarised by bigotry and divisive rhetoric, we must find ways to mend.
“I add my voice to the call for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, not just as a gesture of reconciliation, but as a bold step towards healing, dialogue, and unity in our country.
“A nation cannot prosper while parts of its people remain in anguish
“Let this 65th Independence Day inspire us to rise above divisions; to demand fairness, and build a Nigeria where justice flows like a mighty river, and progress knows no tribe, no creed, and no boundary,” he said.

We must return to the era of setting the pace for what Nigeria can tr
uly become,” he said.
