NYG 2023: SWAN President Tasks Members On Professionalism, Unity
Journalists covering the 7th edition of the National Youth Games (NYG) have been urged to embrace professionalism in the discharge of their duties at the ongoing NYG in Asaba, Delta State.
Isaiah Benjamin, the President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), gave the charge at an interaction with his members of the association at the Media Centre, Stephen Keshi Stadium, on Saturday.
“I want to first of all thank God for bringing us all here safely for this 7th edition of the NYG. I want to commend you all for the massive publicity you have given the games so far and urge you to keep up the tempo.
“However, I must appeal to all to be factual in your reports as professional sports writers,” he said.
The SWAN President while speaking further, harped on the need for members of the association to be united towards ensuring further progress.
“With unity, we can make solid progress.I urge us all to be united in our various state chapters, ” he charged.
“As your leaders, we are committed to giving your welfare and protection priority attention, together in unity we are stronger” he said.
