Obi Disowns Presidential Campaign Posters In Circulation
Mr. Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2019 election, has said he has no hands in his posters being circulated offline, online and other media outlets.
Obi said this in a Statement from his Media Directorate signed by Mr. Valentine Obienyem on Thursday.
He said his off had been inundated lately with sought-for-clarifications on Obi’s Presidential posters being circulated.
The Statement said unequivocally that Obi was not in any way connected to the posters nor did he contract/authorise anybody or organisation to promote such on his behalf.
The former Anambra State governor said he was not the one who would jump the gun on a matter the party was yet to give final directives.
According to him, as a faithful party man, I will abide by the final position of the party on the issue.”
The release frowned at people’s preoccupation with the next election when the situation in the country required every hand to be be on deck for the restoration of security, eradication of poverty, creation of jobs.
“We need to provide of other productive ventures for the country’s teeming unemployed youths by improving education and making health care accessible in the country.
“These are precisely what I am concerned with right now,” it stated..
