Obidients Movement Celebrates Peter Obi’s 64th Birthday In Anambra
Members of the Obidient Movement, the political support group of Mr. Peter in Anambra joined their colleagues in other parts of the country on Saturday to celebrate the 64th birthday of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
The supporters who trooped out in large numbers, marched through the popular Nkwo Amaenyi, Aroma junction, Ifite Awka, Eke Awka market distributing food items to some indigent members of the society.
The food items donated in honour of Obi include bags of rice, cartons of noodles, biscuits, tomato pastes and drinks.
The Movement visited Tender Touch Orphanage home, Amenyi-Awka, Model Community Children’s home, Ifite-Awka and Awka Central mosque.
They were warmly received by the leadership and members of Muslim community who eulogised Mr. Peter Obi, describing him as a detribalised Nigeria.
Presenting the items, a member of Obidients Movement, Southeast Advisory Council, Dr Decker Ezeadili said the gesture was to put smiles on faces of the innocent children and in fulfillment of Peter Obi’s tradition of celebrating his birthdays with orphans and people with disabilities.
“We are here to our principal, to celebrate his 64th birthday in line with his wishes, we chose to celebrate his birthday with the less privileged and today we visited orphanage homes to give hope to those little angels,” he said.
Also speaking, Mr Obiora Anueyiagu, a stakeholder of Obidient Movement in Anambra, said Obi’s 64th birthday provided his followers across the country and beyond an opportunity to reflect on his inspiration of hope for Nigeria.
“The decision of Obidient members to visit and donate to orphanage homes is to demonstrate Peter Obi’s love for Nigeria, and his strong desire to use the instrument of power to bring a desired liberation.
“We believe that Nigeria will soar to new heights under a Peter Obi presidency after the 2027 general election.
“Peter Obi has natural love for Nigeria and he is doing everything in his capacity to see that our decades of suffering ends very soon.
“That is why we are doing all we can to make sure we have a new Nigeria which we believe is possible.
“Our prayer is that God will grant him his heart desires of making Nigeria to work again, we strongly believe that with Peter Obi, Nigeria will resurrect again,” he said.
In their separate speeches, Stella Ezeugwu of Tender Touch Orphanage home, Awka and Grace Ndubisi of Model Community Children’s home, Real Estate, Ifite, Awka commended the leadership and members of Anambra Obidients for their gesture .
