Onitsha Medicine Market: Ukachukwu, Drowning Politician In Desperate Search For Lifeline—-Obigwe
Mr Chinedu Obigwe, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has berated Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) over attempt blackmail Gov. Chukwuma Soludo with Onitsha Medicine Market closure.
Obigwe who is the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum in a Statement issued on Monday described a viral video linking the governor with the saga as the most stupid blackmail video he ever saw.
He said the Onitsha Medicine Market issue was handled by the National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) which was a federal agency without interference from the State government.
Obigwe said when the Onitsha medicine market was closed, Soludo intervened out of compassion for the traders who were not dealing in counterfeit drugs.
According to him, what concerns Gov. Soludo and NAFDAC, which is a Federal agency ? the answer is nothing.
“His intervention yielded positive and fruitful results .
“Any attempts to use NAFDAC closure of Onitsha drug market to blackmail him is tantamount to pouring water on a stone because he cannot be linked to NAFDAC activities as APC led Federal government agency.
“Gov. Soludo is obviously stainless and that is the reason Ukachukwu hired blackmailers finding it difficult to see what they will use to blackmail him,” he said.
Obigwe said Anambra people were happy and proud of the government of Soludo as he was delivering dividends of good governance in the State.
According to him, Soludo has delivered on his first term election campaign promise to Anambra people and deserves to be rewarded with a second term mandate to enable him complete h
is good works.
