Philanthropist Donates N10.5m Medical Support To Elderly In Ndiowu Community
Eugeneike Chibueze, a businessman and philanthropist has donated medical supplies and other empowerment items to elderly women and youths of Ndiowu in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra.
Eugeneike, who handed the items worth N10.5 million to the beneficiaries in Ndiowu on Monday said the gesture was in support of the re-election bid of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo.
Other beneficiaries of the empowerment were youths, security operatives, the town women group, non indigenes among others.
The endorsement rally had no fewer than 30,000 people from the agrarian community in attendance.
He said Soludo was the only and first sitting governor in Anambra who visited the town and assured them that they would benefit from his rural development activities.
“I believe the governor’s promise is genuine, we are ready and willing to give him our votes.
“God will surely use him to liberate and develop our community, particularly on a good access road, he promised us.
“Let us go ahead and give him our overwhelming support to win the election,” he said.
Eugeneike who had earlier donated over 400 solar streetlights to three villages of Ndiowu had been paying their electricity bills for over six years.
He said already, many sons and daughters of the community, and non indigenes were benefitting from his scholarship fund adding that he was ready to do more.
“I suffered a lot growing up from a poor family background, all I want to do presently is to impact people’s lives positively.
“I called this gathering today not as a politician, which I will never want to be, but to plead with our people to see reasons with me, by giving Prof. Chukwuma Soludo our overwhelming votes on Saturday,” he said.
Also speaking,
Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, the Chief of Staff to Soludo, commended the people of Ndiowu for their love for the governor and assured them that they would not be disappointed if they gave him their votes on Saturday.
He said Eugeneike’s benevolent and open heart to the community was a welcome gesture and appealed to the people to come out and vote for Soludo.
According to him, this is our government, and Ndiowu will surely benefit from the ongoing development in the state.
“Let the youth avail themselves of the opportunity in the state government youth skill empowerment, which many have benefited in the programme, and are doing well individually,” he said.
Mr Emeka Aforka, a former Deputy Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly said the community is being mobilised to come out in large numbers and vote for Soludo.
Aforka who is from the town described Soludo as the best candidate in the election adding that he was well qualified for re-election.
Mr Chike Emenike, the immediate past President-General of Ndiowu said Soludo had done well and deserved a second term.
