Police Arrest Four Over Death Of Lady Anambra Hotel
A young lady identified as Miss Chinyere Awuda from Nnobi, in Idemmili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, was last Saturday reportedly found dead and corpse-dumbed inside an abandoned swimming pool at Cosmila Hotel Awka.
A source said Awuda was at the nightclub inside Cosmila Hotels where one Gabriel Chinemere and friends also came clubbing.
The source said the lady was allegedly picking the money being sprayed on the floor by Gabriel and his friends when the boys started beating her.
The lady could not be rescued in spite of efforts of those present to rescue her.
“The club manager, one Steven Junior, allegedly asked the club security guards and bouncers to stand down and turn off the lights while the girl was being beaten and dragged out of the club” it said.
Meanwhile, the Police Command in Anambra says four suspects had been arrested in relationship to the incident.
Mr Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra confirmed the arrest to Journalists on Thursday.
However, Cosmilla has been sealed of by the Anambra State government.
Mr Don Onyenji, Commissioner of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism affected the story on Thursday.
