Police Debunks Arrest of Sponsored Kiiller Suspect In Anambra
The Police Command in Anambra says no suspect under its custody has confessed that he is being sponsored by any politician in Anambra.
The command squad this in reaction to a alleged confession by member of a killer squad which purported that he was paid huge sum of money to kill and maim.
The confessional Statement making rounds on the internet with the title”My Gang Was Paid Millions By Andy Uba To Kill And Maim In Anambra” was attributed to one 48 years oldElijah Okoh
Okoh claimed that he was engaged by the politician to terrorise the state and instill fear in the populace.
But, the command through DCP, Operations Aderemi Adeoye described account as strange to the Command
Adeoye said no suspects under its custody had made such disclosure against anyone.
The Police said nobody was above the law and that whoever was indicted in any crime would have been called for questioning.
He urged the general public, particularly Anambra people not to panic.
“We equally implore well meaning individuals especially the media to discard sentiment and to assist the Police in the Command by reporting security-related issues in the most professional and objective manner,” he said
