Police Nab Kidnap Suspect After 7-Years Of Manhunt In Anambra
The Police Command in Anambra has confirmed the arrest of one Mr Matthew Nwankwo, a suspected kidnap gang leader seveOf Manhunt
er he was declared wanted.
Nwankwo had been on the run since 2015 when his house in Umuobindo village, Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area was demolished by the Anambra government when it was bursted as a kidnappers’ den.
The suspect was arrested by men of the Command in the early hours of Tuesday and was being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
“The suspect is in custody further development shall be communicated please,” he said.
