Police Rescue 35 Underage Girls From Sex Slavery In Anambra

The Police Command in Anambra has rescued 35 teenagers between the ages of 14 years and 17 years who are allegedly being used as sex slaves.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said this in a Statement in Awka on Wednesday.
Ikenga said four of the rescued victims were heavy with pregnancy of varying stages.
He said they were rescued from a hotel called Gally Gally in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the State.
The Victims
According to him, the Command Operatives on June 13, working on information bursted a hotel named Gally Gally in Nkpor where they use children between the ages of 14years – 17years for sex slaves, prostitution and baby factory.
“The Operatives rescued 35 girls and four of them are pregnant, the victims shall be handed over to NATIP for the welfare and rehabilitation,” he stated.
Ikenga said there persons were arrested in relation to the crime with three pump action guns, seven cartridges and cash recovered.
He said “the police also arrested three persons namely: Mrs Ifeoma Uzo, 35; Chidiebere Alaka, 28 and Nweke Chidiebere.
“We also recovered three pump action gun, seven cartridges and a cash sum of N877,500,” he stated.
The PPRO said the suspects would be charged to Court after investigation.
