Residents Hail Soludo Over Transformation Of Okpoko Slum
Residents of Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government of Anambra have expressed gratitude to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for the massive infrastructure projects in the slum community.
The residents who spoke when members of Ifeanyi Ubah Media team visited on inspection visit of projects executed by Soludo on Saturday.
A young lady in her early 20s, Ms Sylverline Uche, said the Okpoko General Hospital was a reality they never dreamt of since she was born.
Uche said they were still awestruck that a dump site could be converted to a modern medical service centre within a period of three years.
She said newly asphalted road leading to the General Hospital had not been motorable adding that the residents of the area were eternally greatful to Soludo.
“We want appreciate Gov. Soludo for remembering us, he has constructed most of our roads, built a General Hospital from an old dump site and webjiw enjoy regular powrr supply in Okpoko.
“It has never been like this for us, we love him and we will support him any day,” he said.
Speaking on the project, Dr Chukwuma Agbodike, an Executive Assistant to Soludo said the Hospital was a 40 bed space facility with modern diagnostics equipment.
Agbodike said the Hospital provided free antenatal care, free maternity and with 24 hour power supply.
He said solar power had been supplied to drive the Electronic Medical Record system and other equipment in the facility to enable it provide all day round services.
Kamen Ogbonna, Head of Ifeanyi Ubah Media Centre and leader group said the Gozim k’funanya tout had revealed that Soludo was working.
Ogbonna hailed Soludo for undertaking transformational projects which had direct impact on the people.
