Rotary Bestows Entrepreneurship Award On CEO Nwoke-Udi Palmwine Bar
The Rotary Club of Awka Metropolis has bestowed an award of Entrepreneurship Development on Mazi Ndubuisi Eze, the Managing Director of Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar Awka for his outstanding performance in service to humanity.
The award was conferred on Eze during the installation of Micheal Ifeacho, as the 14th president of the Rotary Club of Awka Metropolis in Awka on Saturday.
Ifeacho who presented the award to Eze said it was for his outstanding performance in community service, philanthropy, service to humanity, and to God.
The newly installed president said Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar Awka had grown to become a household name in the entertainment business and that the award had shown uncommon consistency and dedication in the projection of Igbo and African delicacies.
“Mazi Eze has been a pillar of community and cultural projection , known for his generosity and willingness to give back to those in need.
“His establishment, Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, is the most popular open bar in Awka, it serves delicious local dishes and provides a welcoming environment for all.
“Eze has also been actively involved in various charitable activities, helping to improve the lives of those less fortunate in his community and within Abakaliki street, Awka where Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar is located,” he said.
He said the award of Excellence was a testament to Eze’s hard work and selfless contribution to society.
In a reaction, Eze expressed joy over the recognition saying he did not expect that that a day would come when he would be honoured for just making Abacha and selling Palmwine to people.
He commended the Rotary Club international for their selfless service to humanity and dedicated the award to his Wife, Staff, Management and Customers of Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar.
He promised to keep sustain, upgrade and continue to
provide improved services to the public.
Eze was recognised alongside other persons including Mr Dozie Nwankwo, a former member representing Anaocha Njikoka Dunukofia Federal Constituency, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, the traditional ruler of Umuawulu, Mr Tony Moubike Member Representing Aguata State Constituency 2, and Chief Nduka Okoye Chairman Nnabaedu Oil and Gas Ltd.
