S’Eagles Star, Onyeka Lifts Grassroots Football With N1m Cash, Jerseys In Hometown
England based Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka has splashed cash gift of N1 million to three amateur football clubs in his community, Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia state.
The Brentford player who is currently on loan to German Bundesliga side Augsburg said the cash donation was to encourage the development of grassroots football and talent discovery in Isuochi town.
He also donated a set of Augsburg branded jersey to Bohold FC for winning the first Ambassador Eziaha Uwaezuoke Football Championship in 2024.
The beneficiary clubs which got the sum of N1 million were Bohold FC, Temper Coolers FC and Umuobasi FC who are the winners of the just concluded Unity Cup 2024 season in Mbala, Onyeka:s village.

Recall that the tNigerian international was a key player in the Super Eagles team that qualified for the upcoming Afcon 2025 billed for Morocco.
While presenting the jerseys through his Uncle, Mr Obinna Eze at Chrisnak stadium Amuda, Onyeka assured youths of Isuochi of his continued support to ensure that more players like himself were discovered and nurtured to stardom
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting grassroots football clubs, the President of Bohold FC Umunneochi, Eze Onyemaechi Micheal thanked the Onyeka for his kind gesture and prayed that God will continue to lift him higher in his career.
It was a moment of jubilation for the players, their supporters and stakeholders including Uche Ndeke, the Secretary Sports Writers Association, SWAN ,Anambra who is also a sin of the community.
