Second Term Not Automatic, You Don’t Deserve It— Ekwunife tells Soludo
Sen. Uche Ekwunife Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the November 8 governorship election in Anambra, has told Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to get ready to hand over power.
Ekwunife said this while addressing party faithful in her country home, Nri, Anaocha Council Area on Tuesday.
She said the Soludo government did not meet the expectations of the people of Anambra as he failed in area of critical infrastructure, human capital development and security.
Ekwunife said Soludo had not done well to deserve a second term adding that he quickly moved into an uncompleted State House as if it was his birthright.
“The Constitution of Nigeria made it a four year term for every elected governor. And if you do well, you will be re-elected but in the case of Soludo, it is obvious he has lost touch with governance.
“The APC has presented veritable platform for the people of the state to reclaim their state from APGA misrule.
“Rather than concentrate on positive governance, has been going about crying like a baby, dropping my name up and down but we are not losing sleep over his rantings.
“Soludo hurriedly parked into the uncompleted State Government House, this goes to tell that he is panicky of losing this election which is going to happen,” she said .
Also speaking, Mr Henry Ikoh, a former Minister of State, Science and Technology, described the Anambra governorship election as vital in order to connect the state to mainstream politics of Nigeria.
Ikoh called for total and massive votes for the APC and its candidates, Ukachukwu and Ekwunife.
Ikoh said the time for the APC to clinch Anambra had come with the massive mobilisation of stakeholders across the state and county to support the party and ensure smooth v
ictory in the Nov. 8.
