Soludo Congratulates Super Falcons On 10th WAFCON Title
Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has congratulated Super Falcons, Nigeria’s National Female Football Team on their victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Cup on Saturday.
Soludo in his congratulatory message commended the Super Falcons for what he described as incredible resilience and an indomitable spirit.

the Super Falcons of Nigeria on Saturday defeated the Atlas Lionesses, the national football team of Morocco 3-2 to win WAFCON for the10th record time.
Soludo said the comeback which upturned the result of the match from 0-2 in the first half to 3-2 at full time was a thing of immense pride and joy to Nigeria.
He said the Falcons’ triumph was a result of hard work, dedication, and teamwork of every player and the entire coaching staff.
He said the 10th WAFON title confirmed the immense potential in Nigeria sports and an inspiration to aspiring athletes especially, young women.
“Anambra has always been a strong advocate for sports development and gender equality, so, I am particularly delighted to see our women break barriers and achieve greatness on the international stage.
“I join the Federal Government, the Nigeria Football Federation, and all Nigerians in celebrating this remarkable achievement and I look forward to greater successes from the Super Falcons in f
