Soludo receives 28 New Cadets, Boosts Command’s Capacity With 30 Trucks
Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has welcomed 28 newly commissioned Police Cadets from Anambra who graduated from Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
CP Ikioye Orutugu presented the 28 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) who successfully completed their training and had been commissioned into the Officers’ Cadre of the Nigeria Police Force in Awka on Thursday.
Orutugu also took delivery of 30 Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles donated by the Anambra government as part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of the command’s security operations and enhance public safety.
Speaking at the event which was held at the Old Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Orutugu said the addition of the patrol vehicles and the deployment of the newly commissioned officers would significantly enhance Police visibility, response time, and overall operational efficiency across the State.
On his part, Soludo who welcomed the newly posted officers urged them to uphold the ideals and values of Anambra.
He said they should embody the State’s slogan by being “a Light to the Nation” through exemplary service, discipline, and professionalism.
“You must serve with dedication, integrity, and commitment to duty in sustaining peace and security,” he said.
Soludo said his gesture of additional operational vehicles to the Command was in continuation of his support to the Nigeria Police Force in its effort to improve security and safety
Soludo was joined at the event by top functionaries if his governent.
