Soludo Transforming Anambra To Nollywood, Entertainment…. Uwaezuoke
Steve Alajemba, veteran nollywood star says Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s development stride in Anambra making the state the preferred destination for nollywood and entertainment in Southeast.
Alajemba popularly known as (Uwaezuoke) said this during the tour Gov. Chukwuma Soludo projects by some late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah loyalists in Onitsha on Friday.
The ace comic actor said the clean environment, facilities at the Fun City in Awka and natural scenery should make Anambra the preferred destination for entertainment industry practitioners.
He said Nollywood and entertainment industry would not only create jobs and boost the state economy but project Anambra to the international community.
“I never we knew Anambra will bounce back, the environment used to be dirty and insecurity was real but you can see that popular Ochanja roundabout is rebranded with water fountain.
“I want to say that Anambra is now good for businesses especially for those of us in the entertainment industry, we now have a beautiful place with nice locations to shoot movies .
Most of our members go to Asaba, Enugu and Lagos but I want to tell us that we have good environment, good houses, beautiful locations and security, as a matter of fact, I am shooting now,” he said.
Alajemba commended Soludo for his massive infrastructure projects saying he no longer had reasons to criticise him.
Some of the sites visited were the Ochanja market roundabout which used to be dump site but now rebuilt with fountain, modern fruits market Fegge and other network of roads leading into the Onitsha main market.
