Sowore’s AAC Nominates Female Candidate, Vows Oust Soludo
Miss Chioma Ifemeludike has been nominated as the candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) ahead of the November 8 2025 governorship election in Anambra.
Ifemeludike was unanimously nominated and through an affirmation vote by members of the congress held in Awka on Tuesday.
The Chairman, Election Committee , Mr Oshiokhe Ikpeminoghena said it was the constitutional responsibility of the party to field a candidate for the election.
Ikpeminoghena said the princess was in line with provision of Schedule 3 article 2 of the AAC constitution and that the candidate fulfilled every necessary step that qualified her to run for the Anambra governorship election.
The National Chairman of AAC, Comrade Omoyele Sowore was represented on the occasion by the National Treasurer of the Party, Doctor Sam Ajeigbe during the exercise held in Awka the Anambra state capital.
In her acceptance speech, Ifemeludike promised that she would no disappoint the trust bestowed on her by party faithful.
She said AAC would ensure that people of Anambra especially women, children and youths were empowered to become better citizens of the nation.
Ifemeludike said she accepted the nomination to serve the people because of her passion for Good governance.
She expressed optimism of winning the November 8 governorship election praying that the lofty dreams of AAC becoming the ruling party in Anambra would be realised.
Miss Chioma Ifemeludike until her emergence as a candidate was the Chairman of AAC in Anambra.
She hails from Eziowele, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state.
Officials of INEC were on ground to witness the peaceful exercise held in Awka the Anambra state.
