Unizik Disowns Man Who Jumped Dead From 3-Storey Building In Awka
The management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has said that the young man who died from plunging from a three story building was not a student of the institution.
Mr Ken Chukwurah, Chief Security Officer of Unizik in a Statement said the deceased identified as Oyeaka Rapuchukwu, 28 was an artisan who lived in Seat of Wisdom lodge, Royal Kitchen Junction, Ifite Awka.
Recall that the victim who was reportedly under the influence of a narcotic substance jumped headfirst from the third floor, resulting in his immediate death.
“Our investigation indicates that the deceased is not a student but an artisan but an electrician from Aguleri
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased and his roommate, identified as Chibuzor (surname unknown), were allegedly consuming a suspected illicit substance prior to the incident.
“The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Amaku mortuary.
“Chibuzor is currently in custody at B-Division Police Station to assist with the ongoing investigation,” he said
