Why Anambra Commissioner Masterminded My Impeachment, Onyeagolu, ex-Isuoniocha PG
Mr Tony Onyeagolu, former President General of Isuoaniocha Town, Awka North Local Government Area has revealed that he an official of the Anambra government acted as mastermind of his sack because of his refusal to join in the plot to sell part of the community secondary school land.
Onyeagolu who was reacting to a Statement by Mr Chikodi Anara, the the Commissioner For Homeland Affairs said the allegations leveled against him by the Commissioner was false.
He challenged the Commissioner to present facts that he was a drug addict wondering why the Commissioner who had visited him with his family in his Ghana residence would come up with such allegation.
Narrating further, Onyeagolu said Anara called him and told him to allow one Mr Cosmos Okonkwo who is now a Security Adviser to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to enter and sell a portions of land as as compensation for helping him to install a traditional ruler in his community Amanuke when he was Awka North LGA.
“I said no to his proposal and reminded him that as the security adviser to Gov. Willie Obiano he was supposed to protect government facilities in our various towns and as a PG, how will I join to sell my community school land.
“I was removed just because I refused to agree to their clandestine plans to sell and share school land. Those hoodlums they call youths are now taking over the duties and responsibilities of the elders of my community,” he said.
Onyeagolu accused the Commissioner of was always supporting hoodlums in Isuaniocha against the general wish of the town alleging that the hilux security vehicle donated to vigilance group of the town was still impounding police custody.
He said the allegation by the Commissioner that he murdered of one Mr Angos whereas about six persons were killed in the town which was why the security vehicle of the community was in Police custody with one Toyota Camry car belonging to one of the two victims killed at Umuzocha.
“His so called boys used the vehicle when they murdered Ifeanyi and Chukwuebuka at Umuzocha and the investigation is going on since January 19th 2019, Mr Anara knows about this and he has not asked about the hilux and the deceased car which is still parked at CPS”.
Onyeagolu said contrary to the claim by Anara that people were not talking about the crisis, the silence was because anyone who spoke up risked being killed, attacked or their property destroyed
According to the former PG, the Nigerian Police invited Anara, now commissioner for homeland affairs to force headquarters Abuja, but he declined and instead sent a senior advocate to go and stand in for him.
“The administration of Willie Obiano set up a panel on the secondary school land headed by Igwe Rowland Odegbo of blessed memory, the traditional ruler of Nteje.
“The panel found out that my hands were clean but Mr Anara who was the then security adviser to the governor never allowed that report to see the light of the day.
“All the petitions I wrote to the governor, he frustrated it and never allowed any to get to the executive governor, it still have have their copies.
“I therefore call on Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to set up a panel and invite myself, the commissioner and people of Isuaniocha town to appear and explain their various roles in the crisis rocking Isuaniocha community
“It is quite sad and unfortunate that the government has not considered our appeals and calls just because Mr Anara is using his influence against the overall interest of the people.
According to him, the cabal working with Mr Anara had chased so many people out of Isuaniocha including members of the onyeagolu family and they had been destroying their properties, taking over their family house and also collecting rent from occupants of their houses in the community.
“Elders of my community have gone to Amanuke, his community to warn them about their son causing a problem in isuaniocha.
