2027: Awogu Vows To Address Development Challenges, Poverty In Ogbaru Fed. Constituency
Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogbaru Federal Constituency says his priority is to address the development challenges of the area and reduce the poverty rate of the people.
Awogu, a former Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Council gave the assurance during a strategic meeting with APC stakeholders in Atani at the weekend.
The stakeholders at the meeting included candidates of APC in Ogbaru State Constituencies One and Two, ward executives, support groups coordinators and key stakeholders in the 16 political wards of Ogbaru.
Awogu reiterated that he was in the race to end the sufferings and anguish of the people of Ogbaru
while expressing his readiness to change the face of the federal constituency if he emerged winner of the Jan.16 House of Representatives election.
He therefore called on members of the party to convey the message of hope to constituents.
Awogu regretted that in spite the rich natural resources and contributions of Ogbaru to the development of Anambra as an oil bearing area, the people were still facing poverty and heavy infrastructure and social amenities deficit.
Awogu who said that the current representative of the Constituency had failed also urged the people of Ogbaru to vote the candidates of APC for Ogbaru state Constituencies One and Two in the Anambra House of Assembly.
“The only road leading to Ogbaru has collapsed irretrievably, development in Ogbaru has been arrested due to ravaging insecurity.
“I promise that having done it as local government council chairman, I will reposition Ogbaru federal constituency and end the huge suffering the people are going through if I become your voice in the Green Chambers,” he said.
Some stakeholders in the high-powered meeting were Mrs Calista Nwachukwu, a former chairman of Ogbaru LG council, Mr Livy Ugwunnaya, APC candidate for Ogbaru Constituency I, Mr Anthony Ebonwu, APC Candidate for Ogbaru Constituency II.
Others were Mr Patrick Chukwuma, APC Ogbaru LGA Chairman, APC ward party chairmen with his members in the Exco, representatives of Ikemba Front, Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Support Group Coordinators and stakeholders across the 16 wards of Ogbaru federal constituency.
