2027: Group Urges Atiku To Drop Ambition, Support Peter Obi
A political pressure group, Equity Movement Turn by Turn has called on former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to drop his ambition to contest the 2027 governorship election and support Mr Peter Obi.
Chief Gaius Ezeh, the chairman of the group made the appeal in Awka on Monday.
Ezeh said Atiku insisting to contest the election would give the incumbent an easy victory and keep millions of Nigerians in their poverty trap for a longer time.
He appealed to Atiku to consider his age as well as the national sentiment of zoning did not favour him and support Peter Obi as a Statesman that he was.
The Elder Statesman and politician called on Nigerians to prevail on Atiku to put the interest of the people above his personal ambition and do the needful while also calling for prayer
Ezeh called on Nigerians to be hopeful and put their trust in God that Nigeria would be great again and his grace was unshakable.
According to him, let us pray and put our confidence in God because people can change without notice, today they are with you, tomorrow they are gone, it is not malice,
“God allowed what is happening so that we can learn to depend on Him rather than man, God can never change.
“His presence is constant, His love is your anchor, so let us cultivate a mindset that stands tall when the crowd disappears.
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man, brothers and sister,pray for Nigeria and pray for Peter Obi for the good of Nigeria,” he said .
