2027 Polls: APGA Media Warriors Carpet Okorie Over Attack On Soludo

APGA Media Warriors Forum, says Chief Chekwas Okorie, an erstwhile national chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) lacked the morality to question the Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mr Chinedu Obigwe, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum said this in a Statement issued in Awka on Sunday.

Obigwe was reacting to recent media reports where Okorie criticised Soludo for adopting Tinubu as candidate of APGA.

He described Okorie as a backstabber who tried to trade off APGA for personal benefits saying he lacked the moral justification to criticise Soludo.

The APGA Chieftain said Okorie’s antecedents were well known and still fresh in the memories of Nigerians.

He dismissed the politician who was seeking cheap popularity with Soludo who was not a chameleon like him.

“It is laughable to see a backstabber and a well known character like Okorie running his mouth flippantly against Gov. Soludo on national television and on print media channels.

“Chekwas Okorie remains the same man who was revealed to Nigerians that when the APGA mandate was stolen, those who stole mandate bought him over and he started pressuring to abandon the Court case he instituted to retrieve the stolen mandate.

This was the reason they gave for the unceremonious removal of Chekwas Okorie as APGA national Chairman and that alone has stripped Chekwas Okorie of the moral justification to question Governor Soludo 2027 election choices,” he said.

Obigwe said it was not correct for Okorie to insinuate that Soludo was fighting Peter Obi because of his decision to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2nd term re-election bid.

He recalled that as a governor, Obi supported former President Jonathan’s re-election but noted that Okorie did not accuse him of going against the spirit of APGA.

He said Soludo was the current national leader of APGA with an overwhelming support of APGA faithful in his decision to support President Tinubu 2nd term re-election bid.

“Wherever Gov. Soludo stands, is where we will stand and in that regard we will vote massively for PBAT and other APGA candidates in Anambra in the forthcoming 2027 general election,” he said.
