2027: Umuiyasele Clan Endorses Awogu For Ogbaru Federal Representatives Race
The Umueze-amudolum Kindred of Umuiyasele Clan in Atani has endorsed the candidature of their son, Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu for Ogbaru Federal Constituency seat in the National Assembly.
The kinsmen led by its leader, Onowu Sir Francis Mesiobi, the oldest and head of the clan, gave their backing to Awogu during a family meeting at the Onu-Iyi Haven country home of Atani on Sunday.
The gathering brought together prominent clan heads and elders, respected family heads, primary leaders, heads of traditional authorities and esteemed members of the clan in an atmosphere of conviviality, brotherhood and genuine family bonding.
They also took to discuss the challenges of underdevelopment, poverty and infrastructure deficit in Ogbaru in spite her rich resources and explored areas of possible intervention if the representation was right.
They gave Awogu, who holds the traditional title of Omekaodimma 1 na Ogbaru their blessings and expressed high confidence in his ability to turnaround the development fortune of Ogbaru if he wins the contest in January next year.
The family presented Awogu to Ogbaru people describing him as their worthy Ambassador who understood the peculiarities of the federal Constituency and pissed the passion and capacity to influence the desired change as their representative.
“We the elders of Umueze-amudolum Kindred and the entire Umuiyasele clan hereby endorse Hon. Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu and express our support for his political ambition.
“We pledge our commitment to collaborate and work with our son, Arinzechukwu towards the achievement of this mandate and advancement of their collective development interest as Ogbaru people,” they said.
In his response, Awogu reiterated that his purpose for entering the race was informed by his determination to work for the good of Ogbaru people.
He said he could no longer continue to sit back and watch Ogbaru Federal Constituency wallow in decay and poverty.
According to him, this meeting is not just a political engagement, it is a beautiful return to my roots and also a moment of communion with them.
“I thank you for this great family support and assure that I will continue to uphold our virtues of service, respect and service as I embark on this journey,” he said.
