EEDC Cuts Supply In Anambra Enugu States
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced that there will be power outage in parts of Anambra and Enugu states between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
Emeka Ezeh, Group Head, Corporate Communications of EEDC made the appeal in a Statement made available to journalists in Awka on Saturday.
Ezeh said the customers that would be affected were those in Anambra and Oji River with its adjoining communities in Enugu State.
He said the planned outage would be between 9:00am and 6:00pm on Sunday and Monday.
Ezeh said the withdrawal of supply was necessary to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) maintenance crew to replace faulty overhead stack porcelain insulators at its 330kV switch yard in Awada.
“Consequently, electricity supply to customers in the affected areas will be interrupted during the maintenance period.
“We regret the inconvenience this may cause and appeal for our customers’ understanding, as the exercise is aimed at improving and enhancing the quality of service,” he said.
