Anambra Guber: PDP Pledges To Work For Ukachukwu’s Victory
Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Anambra have declared their support for Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Nov 8, governorship election in the state.
Mr Joseph Madubeze, a chieftain of the PDP said this while introducing stakeholders of the party to officials of Ukachukwu campaign organisation on Friday .
Madubueze who spoke on behalf of all PDP members and executives in the seven councils in Anambra North senatorial zone said they had collectively decided to work with Ukachukwu to sack Soludo.
He said they were impressed with Ukachukwu’s progressive credentials adding that it was unfortunate that Soludo’s administration had disappointed the citizens with painful policies.
The PDP chieftain said lamentations of hardship in Anambra were widespread among the people instead of democratic dividend under the Soludo-led All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government.
“Ukachukwu is a ‘Daniel’ who has come to judgment, we have unanimously declared our full support for him because APC is for a resounding transformation of Anambra,” he said.
Also speaking, Emeka Ezejimofor from Ward 5, Fegge Onitsha said they would assiduously work with you and deliver the mandate come November 8.
Responding, Ukachukwu commended their resolve to work with him to achieve the aim of all people of goodwill in the State and advised them to work hard for the success of the election.
He promised that he would not betray them if he got into power while urging them to join the campaign council in identifying with their wards and be part of the agricultural loan which would be given randomly to them.
