APGA Kicks Off Campaign For APC’s Tinubu’s Re-election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has kicked off campaigns for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid.

The campaign rally held at Ekwueme square, Awka on Friday was led by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra.

Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Jan. 16 election.

APGA also formally adopted Tinubu as its presidential candidate while unveiling other 253 candidates in its platform while symbolically presenting party flags to 44 candidates contesting legislative seats in Anambra.

The Anambra flag beaters were three Senatorial candidates, 11 candidates for the House of Representatives, and 30 candidates for the State House of Assembly.

According to him, as we unveil our campaign as the foremost progressive party in Nigeria, we are also officially adopting President Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate of APGA.

“We did it in 2011 and 2015 for President Jonathan, we are repeating it in 2027, because progressives are working together to support a President who loves the Igbo,” he said.

Soludo said some of the key federal government infrastructure projects in the Southeast, including the dualisation and rehabilitation of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, were concrete evidence of the administration’s commitment to the region.

He said politics must be anchored on tangible benefits, enlightened self-interest, and strategic voting bargains.

He called on candidates and party members to embark on door-to-door campaigns ahead of the polls on January 16 and Feb. 6.

Soludo assured the candidates that he would actively campaign with them in the field.

“I called on voters to make a clear distinction between reason and emotion, I am confident that APGA’s grassroots strength will deliver victory,” he said.
