Ezeh Cautions Against Attack On Peter Obi
Chief Gaius Ezeh, an Elder Statesman has cautioned politicians from the Southeast geopolitical zone to stop unnecessary attacks on Mr Peter Obi because of cheap popularity.
Ezeh who is the Chairman of Equity Movement Turn by Turn said this in Awka on Friday.
He warned that people who tried to rubbish their own in order to please outsiders never ended well.
The Politician recalled that a professor stood against late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, attacking him and All he stood for but never strained his height until he died,
“A Professor who all through his life was seeing only the bad side of Zik but never stopped the image of the Great Zik from growing till the end of his life.
“Today not many people know the Professor and his political achievements.
“So, I plead to some Professors and others who take delight in throwing mud at Peter Obi to be cautious.
“Peter Obi is Favoured by God, and there is little anyone can do about it,” he said.
Ezeh said people could still make their mark in politics without talking down on others adding that there was much to do to better the lot of the Igbo nation instead of fighting each other.
According to him, Peter Obi is respected across Nigeria and the world, it is morally wrong to try to rubbish him in Igbo land.
