Police Arrest ‘Agaba’ Violent Masquerade In Anambra
The Police Command in Anambra has confirmed the arrest of a popular Masquerade popularly known as Agaba.
Agaba which belonged to Awgbu, Orumba North Local Government Area went berserk recently attacking people and events in the area without provocation.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday confirmed that the dreaded Masquerade was in the command’s custody.
Ikenga described behaviour of the masquerade, as seen in viral videos as totally unacceptable, unlawful, and will not be tolerated under any guise.
“I want to confirm that the Command has taken into custody the masquerade involved in the unprovoked and violent attacks on innocent citizens, which led to a breach of public peace in Awgbu.
“The suspect is currently in Police custody, and investigations are ongoing to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice,” he said.
