Ezenwafor, Nnoyelu Declare Interest For Idemili South, Ayamelum LG Council In Anambra
Mr Odera Ezenwafor and Chinaza Nnonyelu have declared intentions to contest the Chairmanship of their Local Government Councils in the Anambra council poll scheduled in August.
Ezenwafor, a culture champion declared to contest for Idemili South while Nnonyelu, an entrepreneur will be contesting for Ayamelum.
Both aspirants will be vying on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Ezenwafor who addressed stakeholders of the party said he was humbled by the support of the people and that he had come to answer the call to serve.
He said if elected as chairman of Idemili South Council, he would focus on youth and women empowerment.
He said he would also develop entertainment and culture as well as bringing governance closer to the people at the grassroots.
He said he would support the creative industry and complement the effort of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on road construction and security.
“I have a passion for community work, youth guidance, music, adventure, it is my desire to channel the energy of our youths in the areas and help them explore the opportunities as Chairman.
“I am coming with fresh ideas. I will support Gov. Soludo’s reforms, I will respect, protect our culture and to create jobs,” he said.
On his part, Nnoyelu, 31, said he would develop the agriculture potential of the Ayamelum area and generate jobs in the sector.
Nonyelu is the Chief Executive Officer of NCC Fresh & Raw Foods Ltd, a company which focuses on farming, trading, and forex.
He has a theater arts degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and has bagged numerous awards including “Anambra Youth Entrepreneur of the Year” 2025 and “Peace Ambassador” 2026 through his project the ‘Chinemeze Cares Foundation’.
The declaration of both youths is considered by many as a welcome development to the quest for change through a population of young politicians.
