Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports Urges Sacrifice Unity At Eid el-Kabir

Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, the Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world on this year’s occasion of Eid el-Kabir.

Agu-Ejidike in a message to Muslim faithful on Tuesday said Eid el-Kabir remained a profound season of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

He said it was a sacred reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s virtue of unwavering devotion and willingness to obey the command of the Almighty Allah which had continued to inspire generations.

“On this auspicious occasion, I call on athletes, administrators, coaches, officials, supporters, and all stakeholders within the sports ecosystem to reflect on the timeless values of sacrifice, discipline, perseverance, tolerance, and selflessness that the festival represents.

“Sports, much like life itself, thrives on sacrifice and behind every triumph lies dedication; behind every medal stands commitment; and behind every national achievement rests unity of purpose.

“Eid therefore presents another opportunity to embrace values that strengthen not only our sporting institutions but also our national fabric.

“As the nation continues its collective journey toward progress and development, there is a need for all Nigerians to deepen the spirit of peace, mutual respect, and unity, irrespective of religious, ethnic, or social differences,” he said.

Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports also used this occasion to pray for Allah’s continued blessings upon the nation, guidance for leaders, safety for citizens, and greater success for Nigerian sports on regional and global stages.

“May this celebration bring joy to homes, renewed hope to hearts, and abundant peace and prosperity to Nigeria and the entire world,” he said.
