Anambra in good lead at south-east cricket championship
Defending champions Anambra have secured two wins in their two opening games in the male category of the 10th edition of Chuma Anosike Cricket Championship for the South-East.
The Anambra boys opened their campaign with an emphatic 149 runs and 10 wickets win over their Ebonyi counterparts who managed to secure 40 runs and three wickets.
In their second game, the Anambra team won marginally against Enugu with 81 runs and four wickets over Enugu’s 78 runs.
Enugu also won a game with 119 runs and 10 wickets against Abia, which had 86 runs and 10 wickets.
Abia boys also secured one win of 103 runs and seven wickets against Ebonyi who got 102 runs and 10 wickets.
In the female category, Anambra defeated Ebonyi with 43 runs and no wicket lost against their opponents’ 42 runs and 10 wickets.
The competition will end on Sunday.
