Complaints Commission seeks Police partnership on administrative justices
Mr Samben Nwosu, Federal Commissioner of Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Anambra has called for a collaborative action between the PCC and the Police on administrative justice dispensation.
Nwosu made the call when he led members of the management on a visit to AIG Danmallam Mohammed, Zonal Commander of the newly established Zone 13 in Ukpo, Dunukofia Council Area of Anambra.
He said the Commission was at the zonal command to congratulate them on their establishment and also to have a Memorandum of Understand with the zone on justice dispensation in Anambra.
He said the police were critical stakeholders in the justice administration system within which the PCC played major role as complaints receivers and civil conciliators.
According to Nwosu, we are seeking partnership of the AIG who is a critical stakeholder in the Police force for smooth execution of his duties.
“The works of the Ombudsman which receives complaints from persons who suffer any sort of administrative and social injustice from any Public and Private Organizations and their officers.
“ We also initiate systemic investigative actions on pressing issues thereby dousing tension and reducing any outburst of criminality that may arise as a result of unsettled grievances,” he said.
In his response, AIG Mohammed commended the good works of the Commission and the leadership charisma of the Commissioner in execution of his national assignment.
He assured the Ombudsman of the good partnership of the Zone 13 Police command with Public Complaints Commission and that he would not relent to consolidate on the synergy by the two Agencies of the Federal government.
