Sen Uba Instrumental To Prof Soludo’s Appointment As CBN Governor…Ngene
A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Anambra state, Chief Dennis Ngene on Friday, asked Prof Chukwuma Soludo, to step down his guber ambition and support Sen. Andy Uba in the Nov. 6 election.
Ngene said Uba had empowered people including Soludo to rise to the peak of their careers using his contacts in Nigeria’s seat of power during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo.
According to him, Andy Uba has made people, he was instrumental to the appointment of Soludo as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
“People like the late Prof Dora Akunyili and many others are some of the beneficiaries of Uba’s positive influence not just in Anambra but the entire country, that is what he wants to replicate in the state as governor.
“Why I am revealing this, is to let APGA, PDP, ZLP, Accord Party, SDP, others know that Senator Andy Uba of the APC remains the only politician in the state that can attract Federal Government presence to Anambra.
Ngene told Journalists while reacting on the defection Senator representing Anambra North in the National Assembly Abuja, Senator Stella Oduah, from PDP to APC, said the party had been receiving decampees including Sen Joy Emodi adding that more NASS members would soon join the broom party.
He described Senator Stella Oduah, as a woman politician with foresight.
Recall that Oduah, former Minister of Aviation, says she dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be part of the process of changing political narrative in the South East.
Oduah’s defection was revealed in a statement issued by APC spokesperson, Salisu Na’inna Dambatta, in Abuja, on Thursday.
