I Will Retire From Active Politics If PDP, Ozigbo Don’t Win… Apostle Okoli
Chief (Apostle) Rommy Okoli, former chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area says he was confident the People Democratic Party (PDP) will win the Anambra governorship election.
Okoli who said this in an interview with newsmen in Awka said apart from PDP being the best option for Anambra in the moment, the part had the best candidate for the job in the person Mr Valentine Ozigbo.
Okoli said Ozigbo had not only proven that he was the best for the job, he had also ran the best campaign with addressed the socio-political challenges of the people consistently in the past two years.
The politician popularly called ‘Ozioma Nnewi’ meaning good news said he would quit politics if Ozigbo doesn’t win as this presents the best opportunity for Anambra people to reclaim their state.
He expressed confidence that the election would be peaceful and urged the electorate to take advantage of the opportunity and vote massively for the PDP.
“This is the golden opportunity for Anambra to change its narrative, I am calling on the good people of the state to vote for Valentine Chineto Ozigbo and protect their votes.
“He is the most suitable to take over the realm of power in Anambra, he is young, energetic and vision driven with so much capacity to redeem Anambra.
“There is no need for Ndi-Anambra to start experimenting with candidates of other political parties in the election when a tested and trusted person like Valentine Ozigbo is in the race.
“If Ozigbo does not emerge victorious in tomorrow’s governorship election, then there is no need to continue to be a politician, I will voluntarily retire from politics,” he said.
The Chieftain who aspired to Anambra governorship on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance said he respected the right if other candidates to contest but insisted that they lacked the lacked the leadership capacity to galvanize the process of rebuilding Anambra.
