Nwafor-Orizu Emerges PDP Chairman In Nnewi North
Prince Ifeamuma Nwafor-Orizu, son of the first Republic Senate President, Rt. Hon. Dr. A. A Nwafor-Orizu on Saturday emerged the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra.
Nwafor-Orizu scored the highest votes to become the new chairman of PDP in the council area.
In his acceptance speech, Prince Nwafor-Orizu thanked the party faithful for the confidence reposed in him and other members of his executive.
He assured them that the party under his leadership would move to a greater height and that he would work assiduously to bring back all the members who have gone to other political parties back to the PDP fold.
The new PDP chairman told the numerous party loyalists that he would run a transparent and open door administration where every member would be free to contribute their own quota in the management of the party.
Nwafor-Orizu eulogised Chief Olisa Metuh, former National Publicity Secretary of PDP for insisting on due process and for also creating an enabling environment for the youths to come on board as members of the executive.
“Under our watch, PDP will become a moving train and it is expected that all hands will be on the deck as we make PDP to become our dream political party. It is not a one man show, it is a collective responsibility.” Prince Ifeamuma declared.
In his comment, a stakeholder of PDP, Comrade Tempest Udeze congratulated the newly elected executives for emerging victorious in the local government Congress.
Comrade Udeze said emphatically that the party faithful expect optimal performance from them.
He also applauded the former Metuh for ensuring that the right thing is done right in the council area.
Comrade Udeze appealed to the numerous party loyalists to cooperate with the newly elected officials so as to make PDP a beautiful bride in the area.
He also expressed the optimism that the level of transparency observable in Ward and Local Government Areas congresses would be brought to bear on the State Congress.
