Kidnapper’s Abduct Four Travelers In Anambra
Some persons were on Sunday abducted by suspected kidnappers at Nise junction, Nise, near Awka, the capital city of Anambra.
The assailants were said to have shot repeatedly into the sir before taking their victims away.
A source who pleaded anonymity said the gun wielding men came in a Hilux truck which they set on fire before escaping with the car of the abductees.
The source said no fewer than four persons were whisked away including two brothers.
“They stopped and operated for some minutes, they shot indifferent directions before kidnapping about three person traveling in the same vehicle.
“They set the Hilux pick up they came in on fire and went away with the jeep of their victims,” it said.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) but noted that only one person was abducted
Ikenga said, “the information I have before me shows that one person was abducted.
“The command operatives has since been on the track of the abductors and the situation is closely monitored,” he stated.
